The Difference
The concept of a dentist providing implants is relatively new. Historically, this has been the role of oral surgeons working in partnership with dentists. The oral surgeon would surgically place the implant and the dentist would restore the final tooth. This method relies upon a close working relationship and good communication between surgeon and dentist to ensure the correct placement of both implant and tooth.
At The Implant Foundation, we do things differently. We take care of the entire process from beginning to end, from the initial assessment right through to final restoration of the new tooth. One surgeon responsible for the whole treatment.
We also take a different approach to implant placement. Instead of placing an implant where the bone is and fitting a tooth to suit, the implant is positioned to suit the best aesthetic position of the required tooth. In other words, the tooth dictates the position of the implant.
A totally new way of thinking.
