New Accolades for Andrew Greenwood
Fellowship of the Faculty Award
On November 7th 2012 Andrew successfully passed the exam to be awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. Here is how the Faculty describe the Fellowship:
“Within the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), the award of the Fellowship is seen as the highest accolade the Faculty can award one of its dentist members”.
This exam represents the pinnacle of achievement in general dental practice. There are currently only 377 of over 35,000 dentists currently registered with the General Dental Council with this qualification. It signifies that the dentist is working following best practice and at a level of mastery across all aspects of practising life. It recognises that the Fellow has followed a career pathway, gained experience and qualifications which benefit patient care and demonstrated ongoing career development. This is a mandatory responsibility for every dentist as we work ever closer towards revalidation.
